Road Closures & Access Restrictions
On Sunday 14th June 2026, St Albans will be holding its annual Half Marathon and Fun Runs. This means there will be road closures affecting access to Batchwood Golf and Sports Centre. Batchwood Drive, along with several other roads, will be closed at 08:00 and will reopen at approximately 13:15. Cars will not be able to access the driveway during this time, although you will still be able to park nearby and walk or cycle up.
Anyone planning to use the golf course or the centre will need to be in our car parks before the 08:00 road closures. Once on-site, vehicles will not be able to exit until the roads reopen at around 13:15.
Please note that our entrance and exit routes are used by the runners as part of the race route. For your personal safety, please take extra care and follow all instructions given by the race marshals.
The centre will remain open as normal throughout the day, from 08:00 to 18:00.
