Founded in 1974, Birley Wood Golf Club is a small, friendly club that offers a welcoming environment for golfers of all levels. Multiple membership options available for both adult and juniors.
At Birley Wood Golf Club, we host a variety of internal and external competitions, providing opportunities to earn a handicap and meet new friends. We have a proud history of encouraging juniors to reach their full potential.
Located in the south of Sheffield, Birley Wood Golf Course is an idyllic, stress-free yet challenging course. Beginners and young players will enjoy the ups and downs that enhance their overall game, while experienced players will relish the charming putting surfaces and exceptional short game offered by the Fairways Course.
The course is situated on a plateau atop one of Sheffield’s seven hills, benefiting from an excellent drainage system. Even during bad weather, the course remains playable and open when others are closed. Players can enjoy year-round standards on well-kept greens and well-drained fairways.
While Everyone Golf (Everyone Active) operates the course, Birley Wood Golf Club remains independent, working closely with the Council and Everyone Golf to ensure a welcoming environment for all members.
