OUT OF BOUNDS – RULE 18.2
In or beyond any boundary ditch, fence or wall.
Beyond the white marker posts: left of the 1st & 2nd fairway, behind the 1st and 2nd greens, behind the 9th green, to the right of the 10th fairway and around the putting green.
OBSTRUCTIONS
Any fence, post, wall and electricity pylon are classed as “Integral” and must be played as lies.
EXCEPTIONS
Direction marking posts, winter tee mats and bell posts.
Relief may be taken under Rule 16.1.
Any artificial path or roadway. Relief may be taken under Rule 16.1. Fixed sprinkler heads and grate covers. Relief may be taken under Rule 16.1. 150 yard distance markers Rule 16.1.
Stones in bunkers are loose impediments. Rule 15.1.
PROTECTION OF YOUNG TREES
Young trees are marked with either a stake or a ring round the trunk. If a protected tree interferes with a player’s swing or stance, relief can be obtained under Committee Procedure 8E.
OVERHEAD POWER LINES
If a ball strikes overhead power lines, the player must disregard that shot, abandon the ball, and play another ball from as near as possible to the original position. Committee Procedure 8E.
LATERAL WATER HAZARDS
These areas are marked with red posts. Rule 17.1c
GROUND UNDER REPAIR
All areas marked as “GUR” are prohibited play and relief must be taken. Rule 16.1.
THE 8TH IS A COURTESY HOLE
Players are asked to stand aside upon reaching the green if there are golfers on the tee.
PENALTY FOR BREACH OF LOCAL RULES
Match play – Loss of Hole.
Stoke play – Two Strokes.
